How to gain respect and acceptance

How To Change The Cultural Norm About Motherhood

Hi. I’m Karin.

Thanks for taking some time to check out my Childfree Woman website. Let me give you an idea of how Childfree Woman blog works and why I started it.

This blog is needed because we are caught in myths and prejudices from a cultural norm that every woman should want to be a mother.

Childfree women are very different. But I’m convinced that all of us want the same thing: Every childfree woman should be accepted as the woman she is. Other people should respect motherhood as a private decision, too.

I don’t believe we will gain acceptance over time just because we are a growing minority. Just waiting will change nothing. More childfree women will simply not make the difference.

We have to do something.

Therefore, I would like to have a conversation with you to explore what we can do together as childfree women to gain acceptance for being who we are in the world where motherhood is seen as the most natural part of being a woman. And that’s why I created Childfree Woman blog.

To get the most out of this site, I encourage you to read The Childfree Woman’s Manifesto. You are most welcome to contact me if you have questions or comments.

So please, read on, share your thoughts and ideas on how to gain acceptance for our voluntary decision, and come back soon.

Don’t forget to share this site with your friends and sign up for free updates on my blog! I only write when I have something to say and won’t spam you or sell your contact info. This is just another way to get you the content you want in the way that works the best for you.

Here are some other ways you can get involved:

1) Follow my Twitter profile – this is where I’ll share links and updates to all the posts.

2) Join my Childfree Manifesto discussion on Facebook. I want women to have actual conversations about how we can create a cultural change that will make women socially accepted regardless of our choice of lifestyle.

Thanks again for taking time to join me. I’m looking forward to it!
